The homeowners of this historical Cape Cod house wanted to preserve their home’s classic architectural styling but adopt an exterior that would stand the test of time. Elevations proposed replacing the weathered wood shakes with fiber cement lap siding, which enhances and protects homes in our climate. A neutral color was selected from the variety of looks and textures available, along with white trim around the windows, soffits and fascia.

The worn out home now stands proudly in the neighborhood, remaining true to its architectural lineage while boasting many contemporary enhancements.
